How we help you stay in control

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Mad Casino is built for fast, flexible play, but speed only works if it's on your terms. Here's exactly how our limit tools, break options and support links function, and how to switch them on.

We give every player access to a set of account controls designed to keep spending and playing time predictable. None of these tools cost anything to use, and none of them require you to explain your reasons to us. You can set them up the moment you register, or add them later from your account dashboard.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your Mad Casino balance over a day, a week or a month. Once you hit the ceiling you set, the system blocks further deposits until the period resets. This is separate from your bank's own limits and sits entirely on our side, so it works even if your card provider doesn't offer similar controls.

  • Set a limit in GBP for daily, weekly or monthly deposits from your account settings
  • Lowering a limit takes effect straight away
  • Raising a limit or removing it entirely involves a cooling-off period, usually 24 to 72 hours, so a heat-of-the-moment decision doesn't undo your own safeguard
  • Limits apply across cards and crypto deposits alike

Reality checks

A reality check is a pop-up that appears at an interval you choose, for example every 30 or 60 minutes, showing how long you've been logged in and, if you want it displayed, your net win or loss for the session. It's a simple nudge that stops a session drifting past the point where you're still enjoying it. You can turn reality checks on from account preferences and adjust the interval whenever you like.

Time-outs and self-exclusion

If you need a shorter break, a time-out locks your account for a set period, commonly 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. You won't be able to log in or receive promotional emails during that window, and the account reopens automatically once the period ends.

Self-exclusion is the longer-term option, typically running from 6 months up to 5 years. Once active, we won't reopen the account early, and we won't send marketing to that email address during the exclusion period. If you want a UK-wide, multi-operator block rather than a single-site exclusion, GAMSTOP is the national self-exclusion scheme covering licensed operators; it's a separate service from anything we run internally, and you can register with it directly.

Age verification, 18+

Mad Casino is for adults only. We verify age and identity as part of account registration and before first withdrawal, which may involve a government-issued ID document and a proof of address. This isn't optional and it isn't a delay tactic: it's how we keep the platform restricted to players who are legally old enough to gamble, and it protects your account and your funds. If verification flags an issue, our support team will tell you exactly what's needed to resolve it.

Spotting the signs early

Gambling should stay entertainment, not a way to cover bills or chase a previous loss. Some signs worth taking seriously: playing longer than planned on a regular basis, borrowing to fund deposits, hiding play from people close to you, or feeling irritable when you try to cut back. None of these mean you've failed at anything. They're simply the moment to use one of the tools above, or to talk to GamCare or BeGambleAware, both of whom deal with exactly this every day.

Setting limits before you deposit

Our own suggestion, and it's only a suggestion: decide your deposit limit and your session length before you fund your account for the first time, not after a big win or a rough night. It's easier to hold a line you drew when you were calm than one you're trying to draw mid-session.

Full terms for deposits, promotions and account rules sit alongside these tools. How we help you stay in control

How do I set a deposit limit at Mad Casino?

Log in, go to Account Settings > Responsible Gambling, and choose a daily, weekly or monthly limit in GBP. Lowering the limit is instant; raising it involves a short cooling-off period.

What's the difference between a time-out and self-exclusion?

A time-out is a short, temporary lock, from 24 hours up to 30 days, that lifts automatically. Self-exclusion is longer, from 6 months to 5 years, and the account is not reopened early once it's active.

Does Mad Casino check my age?

Yes. We're an 18+ platform and verify age and identity during registration and before your first withdrawal, usually with a government-issued ID and proof of address.

Where can I get free support if my gambling feels out of control?

GamCare offers free, confidential help on 0808 8020 133 or at https://www.gamcare.org.uk/. BeGambleAware has independent tools and information at https://www.begambleaware.org/. Both are free and separate from Mad Casino.

Can I turn on reality check pop-ups?

Yes. Set an interval, such as every 30 or 60 minutes, in Account Settings > Responsible Gambling, and the pop-up will show your session length and, if you choose, your win or loss so far.
